Novatec Braids Ltd. manufactures a full line of Novabraid ropes for dinghy, cruising, and performance sailors. NovaLite HP, XLE Performer, Polyspec, Spectec, Starline, North Braid and Sprint are a few of our most popular high strength, abrasion resistant, low weight, low stretch performance designs.

Novalite - NOVA LITE is a double braided construction of multifilament polypropylene in both core and cover. Novatec’s unique process provides for a stronger, lighter line that is easy to handle with no water absorption.

Novalite HP - NOVALITE HIGH PERFORMANCE is a double braided rope constructed with a multi-filament polypropylene (MFP) cover and a blend of Spectra and MFP in the core.

Polyspec - POLYSPEC is a double braided rope constructed with a 100% polyester cover and a 100% urethane coated Spectra® core. It is designed for general marine, industrial, and commercial applications. . .

Nova Shock - NOVA SHOCK is our premium grade shock cord. Unlike hardware variety shock cord, Nova Shock is braided with color fast solution dyed polyester cover yarns for superior protection against abrasion and ultra-violet light.

Spectec 12 - SPECTEC-12™ is a hollow braided 12-strand rope using 100% Spectra® fiber. It is designed with single ply construction up to 11/2" nominal size and two ply in larger diameters.

Dinghy Braid - DINGHY BRAID is carefully constructed with a high tenacity polyester parallel core with a Diamond Braid polyester cover. Core and cover balance insures a strong, low stretch and easy to handle line.

XLE Performer - XLE-PERFORMER SERIES is our top of the line extra low elongation, 100% polyester double braid. XLE is made from the highest quality polyester yarns with marine finish on both core and cover.

Pendants - Novabraid Pendants (or pennants) are hand fabricated from Novablue polyester, Novagold nylon or floating Oletec-12 strand polyolefin per customer specification. Programs can be developed for mooring service companies to address local conditions, ordinances and product identification.

Star Line - Starline double braid uses the same high quality yarns as Novablue but with a tighter 32 carrier cover to minimize snagging and dirt retention. It is supple yet firm in hand and is easily spliced in sizes 1/2" diameter and greater. Exceeds NFPA 1983-6 tensile and elongation requirements

Night Bright - NIGHT BRIGHT is a similar construction used in the standard Throw Line with a twisted multi-filament polypropylene UV stabilized cover and a parallel strand MFP core but includes a reflective fleck for low light visibility.

Sprint - SPRINT is a 12 strand composite of Spectra 900 and polyester yielding high strength, low weight and minimum elongation. It is free running through blocks and retains its excellent hand with no water absorption.

Syntec - SYNTEC is a high performance double braided line designed for club racers and performance oriented cruisers. Dyneema SK 75 and UV stabilized MFP yarns are blended to yield a light weight, low stretch, 16 carrier core.

XLE - Z Feel - XLE-Z FEEL PERFORMER SERIES is an extra low elongation, 100% Polyester double braid like our standard XLE but with a cover constructed from Dupont™’s Type 77 Dacron, long staple, spun filament, yarn.
