Splice Ability Rope



Novabraid double braid and hollow or single braid ropes are easily spliced using proven splicing methods and a few standard tools including properly sized fids, scissors, tape, and whipping twine. A spliced eye should be as strong as the rope itself. Knots in rope will generally diminish the rope strength by half. Ropes with parallel strand cores are not generally spliced. Novalite - NOVA LITE is a double braided construction of multifilament polypropylene in both core and cover. Novatec’s unique process provides for a stronger, lighter line that is easy to handle with no water absorption.

Novalite HP - NOVALITE HIGH PERFORMANCE is a double braided rope constructed with a multi-filament polypropylene (MFP) cover and a blend of Spectra and MFP in the core.

Nypro - NYPRO is a double braided rope constructed with a 100% nylon cover and a 100% multifilament polypropylene core. Designed for high energy absorption and low weight applications.

Nytec 12 - NYTEC-12 is a hollow braided 12-strand rope using 100% nylon yarn. It is designed with single ply construction up to 1” nominal size and two ply in larger diameters.

Oletec 12 - OLETEC-12™ is a hollow braided 12 strand rope using 100% polyolefin high tenacity co-polymer fiber. It is designed with single or two ply construction depending upon nominal size. The rope also has excellent fall protection lifeline capabilities as it exceeds strength requirements of the ANSI Z 359-07 fall protection standard. Fall protection rope grabs work very effectively with the construction and design of the rope to ensure good activation and response to falls when properly connected. The rope also is relatively light and is very flexible which is beneficial for use aloft and when securing.

Polylon - POLYLON is a double braided rope constructed with a 100% polyester cover and a 100% nylon core. This rope was specifically designed for electric utilities but has a number of industrial and marine applications.

Polyspec - POLYSPEC is a double braided rope constructed with a 100% polyester cover and a 100% urethane coated Spectra® core. It is designed for general marine, industrial, and commercial applications. . .

Polytec 12 - POLYTEC-12 is a hollow braided 12-strand rope using 100% polyester yarn. It is designed with a single or two ply construction depending upon nominal size.

Dinghy Braid - DINGHY BRAID is carefully constructed with a high tenacity polyester parallel core with a Diamond Braid polyester cover. Core and cover balance insures a strong, low stretch and easy to handle line.

Spectec 12 - SPECTEC-12™ is a hollow braided 12-strand rope using 100% Spectra® fiber. It is designed with single ply construction up to 11/2" nominal size and two ply in larger diameters.

XLE - Z Feel - XLE-Z FEEL PERFORMER SERIES is an extra low elongation, 100% Polyester double braid like our standard XLE but with a cover constructed from DuPont’s Type 77 Dacron, long staple, spun filament, yarn.

Blendtec 12 - BLENDTEC-12 is a hollow braided 12 strand polyester/polyolefin dual fiber rope. It is designed with single or two ply construction depending upon nominal size.

XLE Performer - XLE-PERFORMER SERIES is our top of the line extra low elongation, 100% polyester double braid. XLE is made from the highest quality polyester yarns with marine finish on both core and cover.
